What is a Bumper-to-Bumper warranty?
Often called a basic warranty or new-vehicle warranty, a bumper-to-bumper policy covers components like air conditioning, audio systems, vehicle sensors, fuel systems and major electrical components. Most policies exclude regular maintenance like fluid top offs and oil changes, but a few brands have separate free-maintenance provisions, and those that do offer them is slowly rising. Bumper-to-bumper warranties typically expire faster than powertrain warranties.
What is a Powertrain warranty?
Don’t be misled a 10-year or 100,000-mile powertrain warranty doesn’t promise a decade of free repairs for your car. It typically covers just the engine and transmission, along with any other moving parts that lead to the wheels, like the driveshaft and constant velocity joints. Some automakers also bundle seat belts and airbags into their powertrain warranties. With a few exceptions, powertrain warranties don’t cover regular maintenance like engine tuneups and tire rotations.
What is included in Roadside Assistance?
Some automakers include roadside assistance with their bumper-to-bumper or powertrain warranties, while others have separate policies. These programs cover anything from flat-tire changes and locksmith services to jump-starts and towing. Few reimburse incidental costs like motel rooms (if you have to wait for repairs).
What other services could be included in a warranty?
Some automakers include free scheduled maintenance for items such as oil changes, air filters and tire rotations. Some include consumables including brake pads and windshield wipers; others do not. They are typically for the first couple of years of ownership of a new car.
What does CPO mean?
A certified pre-owned or CPO car has been inspected to meet minimum quality standards and typically includes some type of warranty. While dealers and third parties certify cars, the gold standard is an automaker-certified vehicle that provides a factory-backed warranty, often extending the original coverage. Vehicles must be in excellent condition and have low miles and wear to be certified, which is why off-lease vehicles feed many CPO programs.

Особенности модели Lexus IS
Выпуск седана IS начался в Японии еще в 1998 году. Новый автомобиль должен был стать прекрасной альтернативой для тех, кому большие Лексусы не по карману. Great Look And Performance — Great all around car! Really no downgrades for this vehicle. It is smooth as silk on the highway and gets great gas millage. I would buy again! I can’t say enough about this car. Lexus is the ultimate luxury brand!

Great Small Luxury Car — We have owned this car for three years, and other then oil and gas we haven’t spent a dime. Fuel mileage is great, and it looks great. It could use more power, and the small back seat makes it difficult for four people.

Class With Power — White Pearl color is awesome, interior is great, custom wheels are a must, as is custom exhaust. The car door height could be higher, but you can also lower the power seat. It is a classy looking car – better than the new body styles.

Above Average — It was my first luxury car. It wasn’t a bad choice for someone looking for the blend of performance and luxury for the money spent. I bought a 2008 Lexus IS250 RWD MT. I spent $31K out of the door back in late December of 2008.

Affordable Luxury And Comfort — Great price point for the extra little nuances that make Lexus a luxury vehicle. Smooth ride and quick acceleration. TI also like that the mirrors are nice and large, despite the compact size of the care. However, the styling leaves much to be desired, as does the engine (for those seeking power)

Amazing Car — I like evertyhing about this car, great suspension, fast, smooth, very conformtable. Never gave issues. It is overall adn amazing confortable car, nevergave problems. IT only took the dealer for maintenance but other than that. The acr us amazing. i just need to sale because i cant afor the payments anymore.

It Is A Great Car — this is my least favorite car out of my three it is a great all around car it does not cost as much as it looks this car is very fun to drive i love this car alot now. ok that is all i love the handeling too it is awsome.

Good Looking, Good Mileage, Affordable Car. — Sporty looking luxury. Emphasis on sporty looking. Great reliability and gas mileage. Coming from a V8 I should have expected less performance. It was decent for a 2.5 litre engine. At the time, the is350 was also available and the IS-F was just around the corner. But I couldn’t justify the price difference for either of those models. Was in the mindset to save some $$ on the car and gas.

Great Entry Level Luxury That’s Super Reliable. — The first thing that caught my eye was the IS’ beautiful body lines, and aggressive stance. I was also very impressed with how luxurious this vehicle is even though it was an entry-level vehicle in the Lexus line up. From the leather wrapped steering wheel to the two-tone dash and front door panels (my car has the beige interior), everything about the interior seems to be appealing to the eye. No boring center stack here, especially if you have the DVD navigation with rear back-up camera, the screen is plenty large to read the map or radio stations, climate controls and many other on-screen settings. The only two things this vehicle really needs is about 25-35 more hp for the IS250, and more rear seat leg room for passengers over 5’6″ or so. If Lexus could do that for the upcoming IS, I may just have to purchase another. The AWD is impecible in the snow especially if you have a good set of snow tires like Bridgestone Blizzaks!
